What began years ago with a bag of puppets and a guy working with kids teaching himself to play guitar, turned into a part-time music program in childcare centers. Over time, Mr. Vic's schedule grew to full-time capacity, and his audience has grown, too. Kids of all ages and parents, alike, have discovered the hilarity and the fun. “I laughed so hard my cheeks hurt,” said mom, Melanie L.
If you were to ask Mr. Vic who his target audience is, his answer may surprise you. “I work for the moms. Making kids laugh is easy, but if you make mom happy, the entire family is happy.” This philosophy has served him well over the years, whether in a large concert or a private birthday show.
“You didn’t really think the booger song was for the kids did you? Kids will laugh at it every time, but the moms put it to good use!”
After having two kids he and his wife decided there was still room left in their lives, so they traveled to Ethiopia and adopted two, three-year-old children. “And people want to know where my comedy ideas come from? When you see your non-English speaking kid scream out in the middle of Wal-Mart, grab her backside, and cross her legs because she needs to go potty, the comedy just oozes out. And trust me, with these kids, there is no shortage of material.”
